DISOBEY STOP SIGN CHARGES


The Ontario Highway Traffic Act stipulates that all drivers are required to make a complete stop at a stop sign. Failing to adhere to this will result in receiving a ticket for the same.


PENALTY 


On conviction, a person is liable to a fine $110 (unless reduced by the Justice of the Peace) and will remain on his or her driver’s abstract for 2 years from the date of offence.
